It comes from France, more precisely from the banks of the Loire, where it was first mentioned in the 16th century, and was created by a natural cross between Traminer and Chenin Blanc. After Chardonnay, it is the most widely grown white grape variety in the world. Since 2000, the area planted with Sauvignon has almost doubled.
Sauvignon Blanc wines can be very different (like fingers on a hand) - they do not resemble each other at all; from the playful international style of the New World with a lot of imagination where the winemakers create some different wines than the Old World Sauvignon wines probably to show their skill that they can make something more interesting?!
Sauvignon Blanc from Mikić Winery will give you heavenly scents of tropical fruits, elderberries, currants, as well as the specific scent of green pepper. Such a taste, with a variety of divine scents, goes perfectly with light summer dishes and a variety of salads, chicken or seafood, as well as grilled fish. We recommend serving it as a young wine at a temperature of 8-10°C, and as a mature wine at a temperature of 10-12°C.
